I have decided to do a bit of posting today, due to the fact my boiler broke down last night and it is snowing heavily.I am waiting in with my son for the engineer to come round and tell me I need to sell my soul to him. Then fun and snowmen in the snow!!!
This figure is from Caesar's WWII French infantry, a very fine set indeed. Finally figure producers are addressing the gap in the market for the French.ESCI'S effort ESCI's French soldiers, there set is to say a little muddled is to say the least. Its a mix of late war free French soldiers with American kit.Hardly fitting for the 1940 campaign. With Pegasus's set coming along the gap is looking well filled, but that doesn't mean that someone else can't have a go.All we need now is a set of British BEF to match!
The figure was removed from the base, undercoated and painted in Vallejo khaki.I do not think it is brown enough even with the burnt umber wash I gave him.The rifle I have been told needs a bit of work to hide the barrel, cheers Luchs for that info mate.
The base is from another figure that wasn't as good.It was made using Vallejo mud effect plaster smeared on a GW base and a bit of Mig weathering and a bit of grass was added and there you go.

Cheers for looking, Rich.

I agree with Paul, word for word!
Great paint work!
But is the base not a little bit big for one figure?
