Zvezda WWII German FLAK 36 1/72.

Hello all,

I am really pushing the boat out this week! To be fair I have had this one done a few weeks now and was posted on the 1/72 depot site, just not got round to posting it here (lazy sod!).
I bought this because I have always want an 88'and have the Hasegawa's version knocking around the stash in the loft but didn't have the time to dig it out (Again lazy git!). I also needed to bump up my artillery  collection, which mainly consists of 105mm light guns.
This is an imposing beast pointing up towards the sky, it must have been even more scary pointing straight at you!

The kit is only about 45 bits including crew and fits together without glue goes together really well, the fit is cracking.

I put the gun mantel on just show what it looks like. I prefer this model for an air defence role. The Italeri kit looks better for the anti tank role because the crew is much better.

A quick prime with tamiya primer and then a quick blast with Vallejo German grey followed by a going over with a black wash.

I didn't go a bundle on the decals, it was more than likely me that cocked it up, but they do look like they are bragging a little with the score counting.

My first flak 36!
Well I managed to build it, paint and post it all I need to do is base it and do the crew!

Cheers for looking,   Rich.

Excellent work on this nasty Rich. I am always put off by arty pieces as the fiddly bits scare me.

Cheers Paul

This kit is so lovely!
What is it about the figures that you dislike? To me, they look great :)

Cheers, Mojo

Looks a neat kit. Well done. How does it compare size wise with the others eg Airfix, Italeri, Hasegawa, et al?
